Following the success of our inaugural Gala Dinner, Play as One returns in 2027, bringing our community together once again for a special evening in support of Kidney Kids and their whānau.
When a child is living with a kidney or urinary condition, no one person stands beside them alone. Families, clinicians, Kidney Kids NZ, and their wider community all play a part, providing the care, support and connection that can make such a difference throughout their journey.
That spirit of togetherness is at the heart of Play as One. It's a celebration of the people who stand beside out Kidney Kids, the connections that strengthen families, and what we can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose.

Kidney Kids NZ is the only national charity in Aotearoa dedicated to providing free support to children living with kidney and urinary conditions, and the whānau who support them. We've walked alongside thousands of families through the challenges of childhood kidney disease over 36 years.
Every family's journey is different, which is why our support is never one-size-fits-all. From practical and emotional support, advocacy and trusted information to opportunities for families to meet others who understand, we're there throughout every stage of the journey.
And because being a Kidney Kid shouldn't stop a child from simply being a kid, we create opportunities to have fun, build friendships and make memories through camps, Christmas parties and other special events that bring our community together.
Ultimately, everything we do comes back to one goal: helping Kidney Kids and their whānau lead their best lives - feeling supported, understood and connected in a caring community.
